Cesena, in agreement with Filippo Fusco, has decided to end the relationship. Today the club will announce the agreement with Andrea Mancini. Yesterday afternoon the son of the former Italian national team coach was in Bogliasco to free up the office and greet staff and collaborators and this morning he will be in the office to sign the contract with the Cavalluccio: one year with an option to renew. A press conference is scheduled for Monday, but in the meantime Mancini is already working to occupy the other key position that is still looking for a master and that is the coach. With Ashley Cole there has already been a contact and the two will meet again, but the future of the former English national team defender, who no longer enjoys the full sponsorship of the American board, seems to be far from the Romagna. In the list of preferences, at the moment, Davide Possanzini is at the top, followed by Daniele Galloppa, but both will have to beat the competition of some B teams, first of all Modena. Even the Emilians, in fact, are chasing the dream of Ignazio Abate and have thought about Luca D'angelo, and have set their sights on the former Mantova and the new champion of Italy's youth team. Vagliati, but for the moment set aside, instead, the names of Guido Pagliuca and Francesco Tomei. The goal in the white jersey, after having solved the sports director issue, is still to deliver, in a short time, the bench to the new coach in order to plan the market strategies in advance. Having worked last season with very few loans (only Amoran, Corazza and Ciervo will return to their respective teams on June 30 and will be added Castrovilli and Vrioni who will expire, with all the others being players owned by the club), between July and August the restyling of the team, built following the creed of Michele Mignani, advocate of the 3-5-2, could be substantial. If the coach were one of Possanzini and Galloppa, the Cesena would return, for example, to play with a four-man defense, the last one being William Viali who used four defenders in line in the 2021-2022 season, from Toscano onwards always a three-man defense. The former Reggina and Brescia striker adopts the 4-3-3 system, so also in midfield and in attack profiles would be needed, especially for the outside lanes. Not much different is the case for Daniele Galloppa, his preferred system is the 4-2-3-1, the same adopted by Ashley Cole in the last eight games. The English coach has tried to adapt the players to the scheme, but the result has not been spectacular.
